If you know me, you know I love food. I like to eat and then… eat some more.

So here’s a foodie itinerary, made by yours truly.

All you need is a car (or uber), an appetite, gum, and some cash.

GET READY because you’re going to be driving virtually the unshortened island while making pit stops at the weightier places to eat. Now let’s get started:

1ST STOP: ALICIA’S MARKET FOR POKE

Start at Alicia’s market for some of the weightier poke you’ll overly have. It’s moreover one of the most recommended spots in Oahu by locals. They’ve been virtually since 1949 and has been a neighborhood staple.

Walk through the market and throne straight to the when for self-ruling samples. Along with poke, they moreover serve some of the weightier Chinese-style BBQ meats. Get the philharmonic meal for the weightier of both worlds.

What to order: masago wasabi ahi poke & roasted pig

PS: There are no tables or seats at Alicas’s, so you have to take your supplies to-go.

Address:

267 Mokauea St
Honolulu, HI 96819

2ND STOP: BUBBIES- MOCHI ICE CREAM

For a light refreshing snack make your way to Bubbies.

While they have many flavors of ice cream, milkshakes, floats… what you REALLY want to try is their MOCHI! They’re little zest size ice creams wrapped in a sweetened rice dough.

Pro tip. For your instagram moment, take it outside and shoot it fast surpassing it melts!

Address:

7192 Kalanianaole Hwy
Ste D103
Honolulu, HI 96825

3RD STOP: GIOVANNIS- SHRIMP TRUCK (A must visit!)

If you’ve asked anyone for recommendations, then chances are you’ve once heard of Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck in North Shore.

Some people say it’s overhyped, but I beg to differ. My trip to Oahu is never well-constructed until I stuff my squatter with their Shrimp scampi- drenched in lemon butter and garlic!

PS: It’s mazuma only.

Pro Tip: bring an uneaten pack of gum without this meal. You can thank me later.

Address:

66-472 Kamehameha Hwy
Haleiwa, HI 96712

4th STOP: HAWEILA BOWLS FOR ACAI

Haleiwa Bowls is a two-minute momentum from Giovannis for some of the weightier acai on the island. It’s refreshing and exactly what you need without a mouthful of garlic and shrimp.

You can segregate from the Hapa Trencher (smoothie-like texture) or the Mana Trencher (sorbet-like texture).

Each acai trencher comes with bananas, coconut flakes, granola, and honey.  Extra Toppings are $0.75 each and they have many toppings, so segregate wisely!

LAST STOP: HELENA’S AUTHENTIC HAWAIIAN BBQ FOR DINNER

For an pure Hawaiian experience, Helena’s Hawaiian Food is where ALL the locals go for lunch and dinner. The restaurant won a James Beard Award when in 2000 and is a minion restaurant by everyone.

While the supplies isn’t photogenic, this was probably one of my favorite meals on this trip. The plates are small so you can try a good variety without ordering their set menu with a few extra items. I 100% recommend coming with a group of friends so you can share everything family style.

What to order: kalua pig and short ribs, poi and lau lau.

And that concludes our foodie venture for the day! Shoutout to everyone who gave me their recommendations in the scuttlebutt section of THIS POST!
