Its not a secret that Mallorca is full of picturesque villages. The western side in particular is my personal favorite, feeling worlds yonder from the flatter, eastern side of the island. As you pass over the mountains, little towns start to towards in the distance.

Why Visit Valldemossa
On the latest trip, I was staying in the neighboring village of Deià, flipside personal favorite of mine on the island. Its such an easy village to visit from there, or plane if youre staying in Palma de Mallorca. In my opinion, Valldemossa is the perfect day trip stop from anywhere on the western side of the island.
In the village, winding cobblestone alleyways and streets climb to the part-way plaza. Lined with local shops, restaurants, and nooks and crannies to explore, its the weightier spot to go for a meandering stroll. There are a few famous spots you can take or leave depending on your interests as well.
